National Honor Society

The Robert J. Sheheen chapter of the National Honor Society exists to promote enthusiasm for scholarship, to promote worthy leadership, to stimulate a desire for service to others, and to encourage the development of character in students of Camden High School.  We are proud to be aligned with the nation’s oldest and largest student recognition program.

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates must be in the junior or senior class, with a cumulative GPA of at least 4.0, have completed at least two honors classes and have no level two or higher discipline offenses.  All students who can rise to or above such standard may be admitted to candidacy for selection to membership.  Their eligibility shall then be considered on the basis of service, character, and leadership.

Membership Expectations

NHS members must maintain their GPA, character, and contribute 10 hours of community service per semester. There are annual dues to be paid; $20 for juniors and $30 for seniors.
