Summer Meals Program

The Kershaw County School District, in partnership with the United Way of Kershaw County, announces its Summer Meals program to ensure local children have access to nutritious food while school is out. The program will run from June 1 through July 17, 2026, Monday – Thursday each week (all locations will be closed on Thursday, July 2.)

Camden High School Hall of Fame Application

Nominations are being accepted for the Camden High School Hall of Fame. The CHS School Improvement Council created the Hall of Fame to honor alumni of Camden or Jackson High Schools whose accomplishments, deeds, and character exemplify outstanding achievement in their life's work and/or service to their community.

This award may also honor individuals who did not graduate from Camden High, but who have significantly and consistently contributed to the work and mission of the school.

All nominations must be submitted and postmarked by Friday, July 31, 2026. More information about submitting a nomination is included in the nomination form.

High school students are encouraged to join in reading and programs with KCSD and the Kershaw County Library this summer. Read or listen to 3 books of your choice, return your log to school in August for a KCSD reading reward, and check for any honors summer reading assignments. You can also use Sora for free ebooks and audiobooks all summer long. Teens can join KCL programs like TTRPG, Adulting Fair, and Ahhh, Nature! KCSD’s end-of-year updates include half-days on May 21–22, graduation ceremony details, July registration dates and residency requirements, a new high school School-Based Health Center partnership, and the first day of school on July 30, 2026.

On Thursday, May 7, 15 seniors representing Camden, Lugoff-Elgin and North Central high schools participated in Kershaw County School District’s Annual Future Educator Signing Day. The event, hosted by KCSD’s Teacher Forum, celebrated students who have decided to pursue careers in the field of education.

2026-03-16 - eLearning Day

Kershaw County School District is shifting to an e-Learning Day for Monday, March 16, as severe weather is forecasted for our area. All school buildings and offices will be closed. All Monday after school activities and sporting events are also cancelled.
