Meet our School Administrators

Rose Montgomery
I am a 1995 Camden High graduate and a 1999 University of South Carolina graduate with a B.A in French. I also received my Masters in Administration in 2006 from USC. I’m excited to be back at Camden High School where I look forward to working with the Bulldog Family. I’ve lived in Camden for the past 25 years and am motivated to work with the students, staff and stakeholders in ensuring we provide the most relevant, up to date instruction for the students of Kershaw County.
Prior to returning to CHS as the principal, I served as the Assistant Director of Curriculum at Woolard Technology Center. Prior to WTC, I served as Assistant Principal at North Central High School for ten years. My previous teaching experiences include teaching French at Swansea High School and Camden High School, where I served as the foreign language department head. I was also honored as Camden High School's Teacher of the Year for the 2006-2007 school year. My passion lies in making sure all students have every opportunity for success and are prepared for their futures... whether that is the workforce, military, technical school or university.
I’m married to Tripp Montgomery, also a Camden High graduate and have two children, Dru and Meg, both of whom are Camden High graduates. Dru graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Biochemistry and is currently enrolled in Medical School at USC School of Medicine in Greenville. Meg is a senior studying Microbiology at Clemson University.

Erik-Jon Densmore
I am excited to be joining Camden High School as an Assistant Principal. Before joining CHS, I taught math at North Central High School for nine years. I began my teaching career at NCHS in 2012 and have also taught at Edgewood High School (MD) and Archbishop Spalding High School (MD). I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from La Roche University where I was also a four-year collegiate baseball player. I also received a Master in Education in Teaching Secondary Mathematics from Slippery Rock University and a Master of Education in Educational Administration and Leadership from Columbia College. I completed the KCSD Developing Administrators Program and am a member of the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
In addition to teaching at NCHS, I served as the math department chair for two years, the Data Focus Team leader for High Schools that Work, an assistant varsity baseball coach for five years, and an assistant varsity football coach for two years.
I am married to Emily Densmore, a social studies teacher at North Central High School, and we have two children, Reese and Jack. I am excited for the opportunity to work with the students and staff at CHS and to have a great year at the best old high school anywhere. Go Dogs!

Edward Kersey
I graduated from Hanau American High School in Germany. I received my undergraduate degree from Coker College and my master's degree from Phoenix University. My first year in the classroom was 2005 in the Social Studies Department at Camden High. I moved into administration as an Assistant Principal in the 2021-2022 school year.
My wife Tess is a CHS graduate as are my two children--Rebecca and Jacob. I am the proud grandfather of James and Natalee. I enjoy all sports. After coaching for 21 years, I spend most of my free time playing golf.
I am very thankful to work with the CHS staff in many capacities. I believe in our motto "Hard Work Pays Off" and I will do whatever it takes to help all of our students succeed.

Tarolyn Lee
Tarolyn Lee returns to Camden High as an assistant principal after serving as an assistant principal at Lugoff Elgin High School for three years. She previously worked as an assistant principal at Camden High, serving as the freshman transition specialist, testing coordinator and the virtual environment coordinator. She began her career as an English language arts teacher, joining KCSD in 2013 as a reading interventionist/writing teacher at Stover Middle School. She served as an assistant administrator from 2017-2018.

Lawrence McCallum
Mac McCallum returns to Camden High as an assistant principal after joining the Stover Middle administrative staff in 2023 as an assistant principal. He has more than 20 years of special education teaching experience. McCallum taught special education at Camden High School for eight years, serving as the instructional leader for the special education department. He was named the 2021-2022 Camden High School Teacher of the Year. Prior to this, he worked at Pine Grove, Inc., Camden Middle School and Charleston County School District.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in special education from the College of Charleston and a Master of Education degree in school leadership from Columbia College. He has done post graduate work at The Citadel, College of Charleston, Charleston Southern University and Columbia College. He is certified in mild and moderate special education and in secondary administration.
McCallum completed the Kershaw County Developing Administrators Program, and was part of the 2019-2020 Kershaw County Leadership Academy cohort. He was named the 2021-2022 Camden High School Teacher of the Year.
McCallum is a 1991 Lugoff-Elgin High graduate, and he and his wife, Martie Gail McCallum reside in Lugoff.
